Informative Signs

PURPOSE OF USE:Information signs communicate information about the road and its surroundings and the settlement units along the route as well as other auxiliary services that may be required during the travel for the users of the road.

PRODUCTION MEASURES:These signs are manufactured in two groups as standard signs and variable dimensional signs. Standard signs are in rectangular or square shape. Variable dimensional signs are those which may actually give many different messages, the dimensions of which depend on the width of the road, the speed of project or operation, and the number of messages to be given, wherein the height and width of letters also vary accordingly; the figures, symbols and road numbers and all texts and symbols are variable according to their placement on the plate.

PLACES OF USE:They are used at the points where priorities, service points, direction, distance information, geographical information, settlement areas and limits are to be shown.

STANDARD:They are manufactured according to the standards of State Roads General Directorate and international road standards.
